Obtaining an Organization-SSL Certificate requires that the domain owner prove their ownership and control over the domain name, as well as, that they are a legitimately formed and functioning organization or business entity. This involves their being sent an e-mail to the address on file for the domain registration (in whois), which contains directions on how to confirm the order; and the requirement to provide certain organization documentation.
