ViUX™ utilizes various levels and types of server hardware based upon the service(s) running on the server and the anticipated level of activity. We primarily make use of Dell PowerEdge servers; however we also employ servers from various other vendors as needed. The server hardware used for our Dedicated customers may vary according to the specific needs of the customer; however we always make use of like quality equipment for all purposes, regardless of the hardware vendor.
Listed below is the current typical server hardware configuration in use for each service (or group of services *). In addition, our servers all have: 24 / 7 / 365 Onsite & Remote Monitoring; UPS & Generator Power Backups; Redundant Data Connections; Hardware & Software Firewalls, etc. We invite you to obtain additional details on our Network and Security infrastructure.
* The hardware specifications detailed below are based upon the typical server configurations as purchased from Dell (at this time) for integration into our farm of virtualized servers. Equipment used for any given service is subject to change over time as newer systems are purchased and brought online. Therefore this does NOT mean that older systems are decommissioned solely for the sake of doing so. Systems that are adequately performing their intended function(s) are allowed to remain on the network as long as this proves to be true. As such, levels of equipment in use for a given service may vary from that indicate below. We guarantee ONLY the reliability of the services that we provide... NOT the specific server (type or level) that your site(s) or application(s) will be hosted on.
