ViUX Systems, expert in all things SmarterMail and long-time SmarterTools Partner, has released SmarterMail Email Hosting on ultra-fast SSD Enhanced Cloud Storage, using Parallels Cloud Server (PCS – now Virtuozzo), running on a cluster of Dell Cloud-Series (C6220) Servers.
SmarterMail is the best-in-class Microsoft Exchange alternative, providing 90% of the features at 20% of the cost – delivering an Exchange-level Email Server, plus File Sharing, Instant Messaging, and much more… right out-of-the-box.
As a long time SmarterTools Partner, ViUX® has sold and leased SmarterMail licenses to customers for years, while also including SmarterMail within their own Windows Hosting service. However ViUX is now offering SmarterMail as the foundation of their new Email Hosting offer, for which they provide three service levels to meet the needs of any business – small or large.
The first service level is SmarterMail Shared Email Hosting, based upon Parallels Plesk Automation (PPA) – starting at only $4 per month. This features the latest (12.x) Enterprise Edition of SmarterMail with enabled Cyren Antispam & Antivirus, plus optional MS-Exchange ActiveSync. Shared SmarterMail Email Hosting is ideal for small businesses with five or fewer domains, who need Business Email Hosting for a relatively low number of mailboxes (i.e. users).
The next two service levels are both SmarterMail Private Cloud Servers, as a Virtual Private Server (VPS) “Container” or “Hypervisor” / Virtual Machine (VM), also known as a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS). Both Private SmarterMail Cloud Server options support any prior or current (12.x) version of either the Professional or Enterprise Editions of SmarterMail, with a license for unlimited domains and up to 250 mailboxes by default – which can be upgraded to: 500, 1000, 2000, or even unlimited mailboxes.
A SmarterMail Cloud VPS (Container) starts at $40 per month, for: 1 GB memory; 1 Ghz CPU power; 20 GB diskspace; and unlimited traffic – which resources can be upgraded to as much as: 10 GB memory; 10Ghz CPU power; & 300GB diskspace on the primary drive, with various secondary drive options. SmarterMail Cloud VPS Containers are ideal for a business with any number of domains, who require Business Critical Email for an increasing number of mailboxes / users; or who have a large in/out email volume – or otherwise require more access and control over their hosted email than can be provided with Shared SmarterMail Email Hosting.
A SmarterMail Cloud VDS (Hypervisor) starts at $100 per month, for: 2 GB memory; 1 Ghz CPU power; 40 GB diskspace; and unlimited traffic – which resources can be upgraded to as much as: 64 GB memory; 10Ghz CPU power; & 1 TB diskspace on the primary drive, with various secondary drive options. SmarterMail Cloud VDS Hypervisors are ideal for a business with any number of domains, who requires Business Critical Email Hosting for a large number of mailboxes / users; or who have a very large in/out email volume; and/or need a large amount of diskspace for email storage / archiving – or otherwise require full access and control over their Hosted Business Email.
